Who is Chef Prepped for?

EVERYONE!  If you are looking for prepared meals that are both clean and delicious, you have come to the right place!  Whether you have a crazy schedule and don't have time to prepare your meals for the week, or you are just looking for some variety in your diet, Chef Prepped is for you!

Why do I need to have my order placed 3 days in advance?

In order to guarantee the freshest ingredients, we ask that your meal orders for Sunday pick up be submitted by the Wednesday prior, and meal orders for Wednesday pick up be submitted by the Sunday prior.

Why do I have to order a minimum of 3 meals?

First, in order to keep our costs down we need to ensure that we are producing enough meals for each pick up date.  Also, to ensure your consistency in nutrition and success in reaching your goals, the more often you consume our meals throughout the week, the better!

Where will I pick up my order?

Orders will be available for pick up at the following locations after 3 pm on Sunday and Wednesday:

Beaver Hills Country Club | 8230 Beaver Hills Drive | Cedar Falls, IA 50613

The Gym, CrossFit Kilo | 3109 Venture Way | Cedar Falls, IA 50613

**If you are not a 24-hour access member and are picking up from The Gym on a Sunday, message us for a secure code**

Do I need to be a member at The Gym or Beaver Hills in order to use Chef Prepped?

No!  This service is open to anyone that is looking to improve their nutrition!

Can I freeze the meals to eat later?

While our meals are designed to be reheated and eaten within 2-3 days of pickup, you could freeze them for use later if necessary.  However, this might alter the flavor and texture of some of our items.

Do you offer options for food sensitivities/preferences?

At this time, we do not have the ability to alter menu options.  We do list all ingredients for each meal so you will know exactly what is contained in each prepared dish!

Is this a weight loss program?

While Chef Prepped is not a program specifically for weight loss, there is a good chance that by improving your nutrition habits by eating our meals consistently, you will see your body change!  Our meals are designed to help you reach your goals, no matter what those might be, but we do not guarantee specific results.

How can I track my foods in MyFitnessPal?

Our meals are pre-entered into MyFitnessPal to make it easy for you to track your intake, saving you time and stress!  Simply search your meal size category in the database (example:  Chef Prepped Female Maintainer)

How do I know how many calories and macros I need?

There is no perfect science to knowing how many calories you need to consume each day.  Many factors are involved in determining your proper calorie range and macro distribution.  For ease of ordering, we have created a guide to help you determine your meal size.  After your first couple or orders, you will have a better idea of the meal size that you prefer!

What are Macros?

Macros is short for macronutrients.  There are 3 macronutrients that are essential to proper functioning of the body systems:  carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.  Understanding the importance of macro balance and how our bodies treat each of these macronutrients is essential to reaching goals and long-term health and wellness.

What is the difference between counting calories and counting macros?

Macronutrients are directly related to calories, in that each gram of carbohydrate, protein, and fat contains a certain number of calories.  Counting macronutrients can help guarantee that the calories you take in are balanced in order to provide your body what it needs for fuel.
